Dear Prospective Sponsors and Donors,
Welcome and thank you for visiting the sponsorship homepage for the Seventeenth annual Michigan State University Model United Nations Conference (MSUMUN XVII for short). My name is Michael Sandoval and I am the Undersecretary-General of Community Outreach for this session.
As the premier Model United Nations conference in the Midwest, MSUMUN—a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization—has grown tremendously over the past few years. With over 800 delegates attending last year’s conference, we are preparing to make this year’s even bigger by expanding upon our well-known brand and creating new opportunities for schools and students get involved. This year, the conference will be held from March 17-19, 2017, at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center in East Lansing, Michigan.
Given the magnitude of recent world events, I believe our simulations, whether it be about events recent or historical, hold more weight in the lives of students now more than ever. Not only is it our goal to remind students of the value of understanding history as a conduit to modern social and political change, but even on a more fundamental level, we aim to educate the future social, economic, and political leaders who will venture out into the world and seek the right answers. As an organization built upon the same principals as the United Nations itself, we seek to foster an atmosphere of team-work and collaboration, to build upon the critical analyzing skills that our students come to each conference with and allow them to seek out the best possible solutions to the worlds’ most demanding issues.
With the help of over 120 dedicated staff members—all MSU students—renowned speakers from academia, the public and private sectors, as well as the United Nations and the U.S. Department of State, we aim to provide the best to students all across the country and the world. With the success of our high school conference, this year we will also host the sixth year lisinopril of our corresponding middle school conference, the Red Cedar Model United Nations (RCMUN). RCMUN is expected to host over 350 middle school students from across the state of Michigan for a day of role-playing, education, and intellectual debate.
This year, MSUMUN is seeking both corporate sponsorships as well as non-profit partnerships in hopes of building upon our relationships with businesses in the Greater Lansing area during the weeks leading up to the conference, specifically for the over 1,000 students, staff, and advisors during the weekend of the conference. Donating to MSUMUN allows businesses in East Lansing and the Greater Lansing area to reach out to high-achieving high school students and the chance to be recognized as a generous member of the community.
Below are listed a number of reasons of why donating and/or partnering with MSUMUN is a great investment for your company…
Whether you’re interested in sponsoring, partnering or collaborating in another fashion, please reach out to me for more information. Personally, I am eager to help you create a partnership with our expanding conference and look forward to helping you further the success of MSUMUN and your business. Your contribution, large or small, will make a clear and definitive impact on the lives of so many students.
