A World in Crisis: DISEC
This year’s DISEC committee will be focused on many of the issues that plague the world in the year 2025. We will tackle issues of great importance in a way that incorporates economic, social, political and military solutions to find solutions to issues such as the piracy on the oceans and seas of the world, the trafficking of people, goods weapons, and illegal substances, as well as the fall of the Assad regime in Syria and its impact on the region and how the should react to stabilize country and end the conflict. Delegates will discuss ways to achieve these goals so that they can find ways through cooperation with other delegates to recommend how the world can be bettered through this. The delegates will be expected to learn all three topics but only one of the topics will be addressed during this committee they will learn how to prioritize their time studying the topic as well as negotiating with other people to convince the other delegates to set the topic on their topic or compromise to find ways to utilize portions of their prefered topic in other topics. Through compromise and a discussion they will be able to learn of the many different ways to find a solution without focusing too heavily on any one way.
