Christian Allmand, Secretary-General

Christian Allmand (he/him) is a senior studying supply chain management in the Broad College of Business and has been involved in MSUMUN throughout his four years at MSU. During this time, Christian served as a junior staffer for the 65th Congress of the United States of America crisis committee, a senior staffer for the Klondike Gold Rush of 1896 crisis committee, and the Secretary-General of RCMUN XIV. Outside of MSUMUN, Christian represents the Broad College of Business in MSU's student government. In his free time, he enjoys playing games like Civilization and Balatro and listening to 90s alternative music.

Shauna Wang, Deputy Sec-Gen

Shauna (she/her) is a senior majoring in Accounting at the Broad College of Business. She previously served as USG of Finance for MSUMUN XXIV, and before that, a junior staffer for the Taylor Swift specialized committee. Outside of MSUMUN, she is involved in ASMSU, the undergraduate student government, and in her free time, she enjoys cooking and baking, searching for new music, and finding the best iced matcha latte in East Lansing (it's Strange Matter). Shauna is very excited to help make MSUMUN XXV the best one yet!

Elliot Cayabyab, Sec-Gen of RCMUN

Elliot Cayabyab (they/them) is a senior studying Comparative Cultures and Politics in the James Madison College and has been involved in MSUMUN for the past 4 years. In MSUMUN, Elliot was a junior staffer for “The Asian Labor Rights” specialized committee and a senior staffer for “The Great Lakes Compact, 2016” specialized committee. Additionally, they senior staffed the “La Liga Filipina, 1892” crisis committee. Outside of MSUMUN, you can find them in MSU’s Resident Halls Association as the Director of Special Events, taking photos of squirrels on MSU’s campus, or sitting near the beautiful Red Cedar River.

Ethan Pyscher, USG of Committees

Ethan Pyscher (he/him) is a rising junior studying Political Science and Constitutional Democracy in James Madison and getting a teaching certificate in Secondary Education. He previously served as a junior staffer in the International Monetary Fund and as a senior staffer in the International Labor Organization, a committee focused on the 1980’s Solidarity Movement in Poland. He is passionate about educating and connecting youth, working in a before-and-after school program in Okemos and serving across West Michigan as a substitute teacher. Outside of MSUMUN he likes to get active by being outside, working out, and doing stuff like hiking. He also enjoys listening to music and hanging out with friends.

Nat Swartz, USG of External Affairs

Nat Swartz (she/her) is a senior in Human Geography with minors in History and Urban Studies! This is her eighth (and final) year in Model UN, and her third year serving on MSUMUN’s Secretariat, previously as both the Under-Secretary Generals of Operations and External Affairs. Currently, she works on campus as part of the MSU Broad Art Museum’s Curatorial Department, and looks forward to applying to and attending graduate school for Museum Studies and Cultural Heritage next fall. Outside of school and work, Nat loves to cook and read postmodern fiction.

Jack Maloney, USG of Crisis

Jack (he/him) is a second-year student studying Marketing and Economics at the Eli Broad Business College and comes from the great state of Illinois. He has done MUN ever since his Junior year of High School competing with Carl Sandburg (CSMUN) and is going into his second year with MSUMUN. Previously he has chaired for the MTV Board of Directors crisis committee. Aside from MUN, Jack participates in our sister organization MSUIRO, is a member of the Marketing Association and in his free time, plays the guitar, reads, writes, and bings TV (VEEP and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia on repeat). He can’t wait to see you all for MSUMUN XXV!!!

Hishita Rajwani, USG of Finance

Hishita Rajwani (she/her) is a sophomore pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Business and Entrepreneurship. Now in her second year with MSUMUN, Hishita began as a junior staffer for UNICEF. Her experience so far has given her an appreciation for the organizational and strategic side of Model UN. She values the collaboration opportunities and the lasting friendships MUN has given her. Outside of MUN, Hishita enjoys photography, attending concerts, and watching F1 and K-dramas. A passionate traveler, she hopes to one day work at NASA or Emirates, combining her love of engineering and aviation with aspirations of launching her own startup.

Anna Palecek, USG of Technology

Anna Palecek (she/her) is a sophomore majoring in Biosystems Engineering with a minor in Graphic Design. She competed with Grand Blanc MUN during high school, attending MSUMUN for three years, and jumped into her time staffing MSUMUN by working as an Assistant Crisis Director in last year’s whimsical Willy Wonka committee. Anna also competes with MSUMUN’s sister organization IRO as a crisis delegate. Outside of MUN, her main hobbies are drawing, painting, listening to Newsies just a little bit too much, and being the most okay-ish member of MSU’s fencing team.

Jacob Mason, USG of Development

Jacob Mason (he/him) is a sophomore majoring in Journalism and Social Work, where he has passions for media, advocacy, and communication. As the USG of Development, Jacob focuses on enhancing the delegate experience, community partnerships, and outreach. His background in student leadership includes roles in ASMSU, where he advocates for student wellness and engagement, as well as media work with the Big Ten+ Network. Jacob is committed to fostering inclusive, innovative spaces for students to lead and learn—values he brings to every part of conference planning. He’s excited to help elevate MSUMUN’s mission and impact this year.

Patrick Lo, USG of Operations

Patrick (he/him) is a second-year Computer Science student focusing on accessible computing and human-computer interaction. It is his second year in MSUMUN, serving as a junior staffer for the War of the Sicilian Vespers crisis committee last year and his third full year involved in Model UN after a high school hiatus. Patrick has a deep passion for MUN and is excited to welcome all to campus for a fun celebration of MSUMUN’s quarter-centennial conference. Outside of MSUMUN, Patrick is involved in the MSU Underwater Hockey Club as treasurer and is a leader for the Honors Students Actively Recruiting (H-STAR) group.

Anna Matz, Chief of Staff

Anna Matz (she/her) is a second-year student studying Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy through James Madison College. She was a Junior Staffer for Ad-Hoc: President In Crisis at MSUMUN XXIV and before that, competed for her high school MUN team in Seattle, Washington. A crisis delegate at heart, Anna also competes for MSU IRO, the traveling competitive MUN team at MSU. Outside of MUN, Anna spends her time rewatching Bridgerton and New Girl, being an avid MSU sports fan, and going to weekly trivia!
