Thank you for showing your interest in Michigan State University Model United Nations (MSUMUN). MSUMUN is a non-profit organization dedicated to education and the enhancement of global awareness. Delegates will have the opportunity to work with our volunteer staff to expand their knowledge of global policy concepts through committee-specific issues that arise during their time at the conference. In response to these challenges, delegates navigate solutions in both fast and slow-paced settings, strengthen their communication and collaboration skills through vocal and written responses, and gain valuable committee-specific knowledge in subjects they may be passionate about. Though our name may imply affairs between countries, our committees cover a wide variety of topics, from military affairs to economic policy to environmental issues, ensuring there is something for every delegate’s interest.
As a body, we host two Model United Nations conferences annually for students in grades 6–12. Red Cedar Model United Nations (RCMUN) is a conference dedicated to approximately 350 middle school students, providing a strong foundation for future MUN experiences. MSUMUN, our three-day conference, hosts over 650 high school students from across Michigan and surrounding states. With committee difficulty levels and topics, we strive to provide returning delegates with new challenges while creating an inclusive environment for newcomers. This year, MSUMUN XXV will be held March 13–15, 2026 at the Kellogg Center and MSU Union in East Lansing, Michigan, and we are excited to expand our reach with the help of local businesses.
During a long weekend of research and debate, our students gain skills that are imperative to their future success. Not only is MSUMUN a chance to learn and grow, it is also an opportunity for students to experience Michigan State University and the greater Lansing area. Partnering with MSUMUN gives your business exposure to over 1,500 students, staff members, chaperones, and high school advisors.
