Women’s Rights Council: UN Women

UN Women is the UN body dedicated to advancing gender equality and protecting women’s rights, and this year our committee will focus on two urgent challenges: Gender Equality in Education and Violence Against Women. Millions of girls are still denied access to school, and violence against women remains one of the most widespread human rights violations in the world. These aren’t abstract problems... they’re lived realities that hold back progress for entire societies.
In this committee, delegates will not only debate policy solutions but also wrestle with the cultural, social, and economic factors that make these issues so complex. Expect to think about education funding, legal protections, grassroots movements, and survivor support systems. And because real-world crises don’t wait, delegates should also be ready for sudden updates like rollbacks of women’s rights or spikes in violence.
At its core, this committee is about more than passing resolutions but imagining a future where women everywhere can learn, lead, and live without fear.
